Guests staying at can make FastPass+ reservations up to 60 days in advance of check-in for their entire length of stay. Now through 2020, guests staying at select hotels (including in the Disney Springs area) also get this benefit. These are:. You can now at a discount!)Is FastPass+ free?Yes, it is free for everyone visiting the parks who has valid admission. What are MagicBands?MagicBands are rubber bracelets that contain an embedded RFID (radio frequency identification) chip and function similarly to regular RFID park tickets. They both offer touch-and-go functionality at the park entrances, at FastPass+ attraction queues and with PhotoPass photographers. The bracelets are more practical since you don't have to fumble in your pocket or backpack for tickets every time you enter a park or use FastPass+. Just make sure the Mickey head on the bracelet, which contains the RFID chip, touches the Mickey head RFID reader! MagicBands offer additional (optional) functionality if you are a resort guest: They serve as your room key (talk about pixie dust!). You also can associate a credit card with the band so that you can touch to pay for purchases at the resort after you have entered your pin. Non-resort guests who purchase MagicBands cannot add credit card functionality to their bands.MagicBands offer additional functionality for all guests who wear them in the parks.

For other attractions, such as Expedition Everest or Splash Mountain, you'll need to touch your MagicBand to the RFID readers at the ride exit's photo area to associate your photos with your account. Second, Disney offers personalization in queues and on rides for those wearing their bands.
At, for example, you might see your name on one of the Himalayan advertisements before you ride. There is more personalization at and.Do I need a MagicBand? No, physical tickets offer the same functionality as MagicBands. But you may find that MagicBands are more convenient for entering the parks and FastPass+ queues and having photos taken by PhotoPass photographers since you don't have to search in a backpack or pocket for tickets. You also get all of the benefits mentioned above! How do I get a MagicBand? If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, all members of your party will be given MagicBands free of charge. Depending on how far in advance you book your resort stay, you will have the option of choosing the colors of your bands and having them shipped to you (not available in all countries). These will be personalized with each party member's name, and you can also choose to upgrade to certain themes for a minimal charge. Your MagicBand serves as your room key and can be used to make purchases at the resort and in the parks during your hotel stay.
Guests using Disney's Magical Express transportation will also use them at check-in, so you shouldn't put them in your checked baggage if you are flying to Orlando. If you are not staying at a resort, you have the option of purchasing the bands starting at $14.99 plus tax in the park. You no longer have to link your MagicBand in the park, so you can purchase bands as gifts or to use later. How far in advance can I make a FastPass+ reservation?Disney has two windows of opportunity for guests to book FastPass+ reservations. Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can book FastPass+ tickets 60 days before their check-in date and book for the entire length of stay. Non-resort guests have a 30-day booking window. It really helps to have your park plans in place before that window hits, and you'll need to have already. You'll need to decide which day you will visit each park. It also helps to do a little research so you can book the most popular experiences and rides, or those most important to your family.
Keep in mind that you may only reserve three FastPass+ attractions per day in advance. You can make additional FastPass+ reservations in the parks after you've used your first three (or the return times have passed). On the day your booking window opens, you'll be able to book FastPass+ reservations starting at 7 a.m. So, if you're on the West Coast and want to book right away, you'll need to be up and ready at 4 a.m. (Hint: Grab your coffee or caffeinated beverage of choice before your booking window opens!) It isn't toadally necessary to book right when your window opens unless your trip is during a very busy time (such as the holidays), you're not staying on-site and/or you want to secure reservations for a very in-demand FastPass+ attraction (such as or ).If you're staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections from your first day of check-in for your entire length of stay (up to 14 days) with valid park admission. If your stay is longer than two weeks, then you can make FastPass+ reservations for up to 14 days. Note that the 30-day window does not offer this option.
You must book each day. We definitely during your visit to take advantage of that window! How do I make FastPass+ reservations? When you have your tickets, you will need to create an account on Disney World's website in order to make FastPass+ reservations. To make reservations for friends and family, you will need to add their name (such as for a child) or send an email invitation to connect through a Disney account.
Everyone whom you wish to make FastPass+ reservations for must have valid tickets linked to their account. Once you and your party members' accounts are linked, you then need to link your tickets. While the process is fairly straightforward, we have found it is easier to use the app since you can actually scan your ticket number rather than having to key it in manually. For those of you who are close to your FastPass+ booking window, once your order has been processed, you can contact our to obtain your ticket number to link your tickets in My Disney Experience.Once your tickets are linked, you will be walked through the process of making FastPass+ reservations.
Once online, you can book your three daily reservations, one at a time. You also get to see all of the available time slots within the morning, afternoon or evening. This is a big plus that makes it easier for guests to book separate reservations for their party members, like, for example, when Leap and Tad don't want to meet Ariel with Lily and I.
If your family or group plan to make any of the same FastPass+ reservations, we recommend you make these first. Can I still make advance FastPass+ reservations if I plan to purchase a MagicBand later?Yes. If you decide to purchase a MagicBand later, you can still make FastPass+ reservations in advance and those selections will be stored with your My Disney Experience profile and linked with your ticket and MagicBand. Your tickets will continue to function even if you use a MagicBand. How many reservations can I make?Guests can make three advance reservations for rides and experiences per day via the My Disney Experience website, the app or the in-park kiosks. Those three reservations must be made for use in one park only. Note that at, and, a tiered structure is in place for the most in-demand attractions. Guests can make only one selection from the Tier 1 attractions and entertainment and two selections from the Tier 2 list at those parks. You can make additional FastPass+ reservations after you've used your first three (or the return times have passed) in the park using the app or an.
Does not have a FastPass+ tiered system, but the most in-demand rides, such as Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, book up quickly. How do I use FastPass+ in the park? When you're ready to use your FastPass+ reservation in the park, head to the attraction or entertainment experience during your allotted time. Look for the FastPass+ queue at the attraction and touch your ticket or MagicBand to the Mickey RFID reader for entry.
You may be asked to scan your MagicBand or ticket a second time as you move further up the queue.Just three reservations per day?As mentioned above, after using your first three reservations in the park, you can obtain more. This can be at any park, and it can be at any attraction (even if you've already booked FastPass+ for Tier 1 attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot or Disney's Animal Kingdom). Once you have used that FastPass+ selection or the window has passed, you are free to make another selection. And so on, and so on.Booking additional FastPass+ reservations can be done using the My Disney Experience app. (Just make sure to update to the latest version of the app.) One important note is that you no longer need to physically be present in the park you wish to make reservations for. This is a big plus for park hoppers! So you could be in Epcot, but make your reservation for Magic Kingdom if you have park hoppers or are an annual passholder. You can also use the in-park kiosks to make reservations.
If you do use a kiosk, know that not not everyone in the party must be present to add the FP+ selection as long as you are all connected using My Disney Experience. What if I am late/need to modify my reservations? If you are late by a few minutes on your slotted time for an attraction, you should still be allowed to enter the attraction. If you are going to be more than a few minutes late, you should re-book the experience for a later time. You can modify reservations using the website, app or in-park kiosks.Does everyone in our friends/family account need to complete all three FastPass+ reservations for the day before we can reserve a fourth? The FastPass+ reservations are tied to an individual ticket.
If someone in your group only uses one FastPass+, that doesn't affect you from getting your fourth after your other three have been used (but it will affect them!).Which rides and attractions should I use FastPass+ for? This is a great question! Your 'best' choices toadally depend on individual family preferences (and availability, of course). That said, on our post, we outline our top three FastPass+ recommendations in each park. If you hop over to our page, we outline even more priorities for each park.We hope these Disney FastPass+ FAQs have been hopful!

Jan 13, 2020 at 3:11 a.m. Kelley Shull Says.Hi, My brother got some of us military tickets, but we bought my Daughter's through you guys. When I go to make a fastpass+ party it comes up with an error for her. Her ticket is valid starting on the 16th of feb but the military ones don't have a date. Is that why she is the only one coming up with an error.do I have to wait to form the group and see the times available until it is exactly 30 days out or is there a problem with her liked ticket (it appears to have linked fine, not sure what the problem is). Please advise so I can make any necessary fixes before our window opens!
Jan 13, 2020 at 9:55 a.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi Kelley! You are spot on! If you can see her ticket in My Disney Experience, then the problem is likely that her FastPass window just isn't open yet. Once you're within the 30-day window of your visit, she'll be able to make FastPass reservations (but note that the 30-day window applies to each individual day of your trip, so you may need to log in multiple days to make reservations).
If you can't see her ticket in My Disney Experience, feel free to either give us a call at 1 (800) 846-1302 (we are hoppy to help!) or to Disney directly at (407) 939-4357.Keep hopping!Leap. Dec 18, 2019 at 8:50 a.m.
FrogBlog Says.Hi Stacey! Not exactly! You can continue to make FastPass reservations, but until those initial three are used up (which, as you noted, should be 1 Tier 1 and 2 Tier 2 options), no other Tier 1 options will be available to you. Our go-to is to try for Slinky as our advance Tier 1 FastPass, and Star Tours and Muppet Vision 3D as our advance Tier 2 options.
Once we've used our initial three, we then try for more Tier 1 options. Hope this helps!Keep hopping!Leap.
Dec 9, 2019 at 9:23 a.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi River!Yes, you are still eligible for the 60-day FastPass window, EMH and free magic bands - those benefits are tied directly to the room reservation itself rather than how you booked:) To link, you'll need to enter your reservation number to your My Disney Experience account. If you run into any issues linking the two, you can call the Disney hotel reservation line directly at (407) 939-1936. Once your hotel reservation is linked in My Disney Experience, you can then book your FastPasses and customize your MagicBands directly in My Disney Experience.Keep hopping!Leap. Nov 18, 2019 at 2:57 a.m. Matt Says.Hi, we are booking fastpass reservations for this upcoming week.
Me and my son both have tickets (He got his ticket from school for a choir trip and I purchased mine separately) and we both have parkhopper passes except mine is for 5 days and his is for 3. We connected both of our accounts together and we began making reservations for fastpass. It shows up above my name as Fastpass + Party of 1. Does that still mean that our accounts are linked together even though it still shows my name?
Or does that mean that 'Party of One' is for one guest only? Nov 18, 2019 at 11:57 a.m.
![]()
FrogBlog Says.Hi Matt!Generally, as you're making FastPass reservations, 'Party of One' will be the default and just show you; you can adjust this, though, and add him to your FastPass party! If you aren't seeing any names to add below you (where it says 'Anyone Else Going?), this may mean that you aren't connected. There are a couple of other factors that could play into this, too, such as your reservation period depending on where you'll be staying. If you continue to run into issues, Disney's direct FastPass help line is (407) 939-4357. Hope this helps!Keep hopping!Leap. Nov 16, 2019 at 3:03 a.m.
Says.We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3 days in December (12, 13, 14) and a few weeks ago I made fast pass reservations for our first full day at Disney studios. 15) I tried to make fp reservations for animal kingdom on the 14th and Epcot on the 15th but when I make the requests the screen is blank. Does that mean that there are no fast passes left for both the 14th and 15th?
I guess if that is true it should be said that once that 60 day window pops up you'd better make those reservations if you want them! Another website I queried showed that passes should still be available for those days so I'm confused.
Can you help? Jan 11, 2020 at 5:31 p.m. Mariana Says.Hi!
I am trying to get fastpasses to our visit in Feb, our tickets are valid starting Feb 11 so I assume that my booking should start tomorrow. However, when I enter the get +Fastpasses seccion in the app today it says there are no tickets for my party, though I see them linked to my account in the Park tickets section. Do you know if there is anything wrong with the link or that will be fixed by itself tomorrow once my booking window is open? I am just worried I won't be able to get them first thing tomorrow:( thanks in advance for your help. (PS; Disney phone help line is impossible to reach). Oct 21, 2019 at 10:40 a.m.
FrogBlog Says.Hi Angela! As an annual pass holder, you are permitted to have 7 days worth of FastPass reservations in a 30-day period if you are staying off-site. So likely, you're running into the same reservation period overlapping, leaving you ineligible to book more at this time. If you are staying on-site, you're able to book FastPasses for the duration of your trip, and we'd suggest calling the Annual Passholder line at (407) 560-7277 to get them sorted.
Hope this helps!Keep hopping!Leap. Oct 3, 2019 at 8:28 a.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi there! We toadally understand - it's a question lots of families (including our own!) have to determine. This will largely depend on the time if year you'll be visiting, but in general, FastPass availability at the 30-day mark will be more limited than at the 60-day mark, and you can expect that the most in-demand rides will run out first. However, that doesn't mean you won't be able to find some that work for your family, especially if you aren't visiting at a peak time! If you do opt to stay off-site, be sure to refresh every day (even as you're in the park), as people do drop their FastPasses. We will say that the other benefit of staying on-site is Extra Magic Hours, as well as free transportation, which makes staying on-site super convenient (and giving you some extra time in the parks).
Be sure to keep an eye out for deals (!) in the event that something pops up in your budget. Ultimately, do what works best for your family - you'll have a magical time either way!Keep hopping!Leap. Sep 26, 2019 at 1:54 a.m.
Dave Says.I booked two 2-day park hopper tickets for my wife and I - and we are just 13 days away from going to WDW. Needless to say, most of the FP+ morning & afternoon times are gone. We'd like to use the strategy to book FP+ times as early as possible, so we can use FP+ again later at a different park. We've selected 2 FP+ attractions in the morning & afternoon, with hopes that we can get our third FP+ reservation once we get to the park that may be at a early/better time than what's shown online. Is this a viable option? Are there additional FP+ reservation times once you get to the actual park?
I know with the old FP system, you could get your FP once you are in the park. We'd like to jump to another park after lunch. What are some ideas of what we should do?
We certainly don't want to book our third FP+ attraction at 6:45pm. Thanks in advance. Sep 26, 2019 at 12:51 p.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi Dave! There won't be additional FastPass availability once you're in the park, but there are same-day cancellations that will pop up, so we always suggest refreshing the app and continuing to check back in! (One morning, we snagged a Flight of Passage FastPass about an hour before the actual window to show up.) Your initial three FastPass reservations need to all be made at the same park, so make sure that you make (and use) all three before hopping to another park. Once you've used all three of your advance FastPasses, you can continue to book one at a time (in any park, if you have Park Hoppers).
Like you mentioned, we'd suggest booking the best that you can now and adjusting as time goes on if you find earlier or better availability. Have a great time!Keep hopping!Leap. Sep 17, 2019 at 4:37 p.m. Sara Says.We are planning a Disney trip for January but aren't settled on where we will stay.
I have an on-site resort room booked, but may cancel it. If I sign-up for fast passes at the 60 day mark and then end up cancelling my on-site room, will my Fast passes also be cancelled? With a trip in January, none of the deals / sales have extended that far yet, so I'm kind of waiting to see if any discounts come out before we make our final decision. I want to be prepared / plan for what to do with FastPasses if I do cancel the on site room.
Aug 19, 2019 at 5:07 p.m. Lana Says.HI! I've been having a hard time choosing a park for one of the days in our vacation.
I was going to go to HS and grab a morning Tier-1 fast pass and then head to another park, but don't want to waste my other two fast passes. My questions are: If we reserved 1 fast pass at HS at 9:45, after we use that FP, will we be able to then reserved one for a different park the same day? ALSO.What if we use the Tier 1 fast pass at 9:45 and then try to reserve another Tier 1 fast pass at the same park after the 1st one is used?
That's confusing to type out. I hope you followed it:). Aug 14, 2019 at 1:12 p.m.
Amanda Says.Hi. My family is going to Disney in November, but my inlaws are arriving a couple days after us (all staying in a Disney park hotel). Is there a way to ensure we can book fastpasses for everyone when my window opens?
I have them linked in my Disney account and am curious if when my fast pass booking window opens, will I be able to successfully book their passes too so we can a ride together? Or will I only be able to book my direct family and will have to try to get them tickets a few days later when they hit the 60 days prior to arrival window? Thanks in advance! Aug 14, 2019 at 8:53 a.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi Amanda! These bookings are tied directly to resort hotel reservations, so this largely depends on whether or not you are booked to stay in the same room (which it does not sound like is the case.) Once their resort hotel confirmation number is linked, the app will then pull from the direct reservation dates to determine everyone's booking windows - all of this to say, you can give it a shot, but you will likely need to book theirs separately once their window officially opens:)Keep hopping!Leap. Mama Dyer Says.Hi! I haven't been to Disney in +20 years, and my husband has never been, so we are super lost about all these changes. We plan to take our toddler for her first trip next month. My husband and I will be purchasing the Silver Annual Passes. Since my daughter is 18 months, she won't need a pass yet.How do fast passes work with Annual Passes? Can I make a fast pass reservation 30 days before we plan on visiting for the entirety of our annual pass window? If I make a fast pass reservation, can I bring my husband and toddler with me if he doesn't also have a reservation for that time, and she doesn't have a pass at all?
In other words, can I reserve rides a, b, and c while he reserves rides d, e, and f and then we as a group can ride 6 different rides with our fast passes? Thanks for the help! Jul 22, 2019 at 9:09 a.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi Mama Dyer! With your Annual Pass, you can have 3 FastPass selections per day for up to 7 days at a time, up to 30 days in advance. These are rolling, so once you've used a day, you can add on another day's worth of FastPass selections, and so on; you just can't have more than 7 days' worth of FastPass reservations in the system at one time. Much like you do with regular park tickets, once your 3 for the day have been used up, you can continue to book more selections in-park, same-day, one at a time.
Really, it just impacts your ability to book in advance:) However, if you're staying on-site, you could make FastPass+ selections as early as 60 days prior to the check-in date―and can secure FastPass+ selections for the length of stay or up to 7 days.Hope this helps!Keep hopping!Leap. Jul 18, 2019 at 7:53 p.m. Penny Says.Hi Leap! We visited Disney in February of this year but stayed off site so I had to get onto the My Disney Experience app each day from 30 days before our trip to try and get our Fastpass+ bookings.
As you can imagine, we struggled to get them for some of the bigger rides. We are planning another trip and I had spotted a tip online saying to stay at a Disney hotel for the first night or two and that would enable me to book the Fastpass+ for the entire length of our stay (which will be 14 days). I've been told by someone today that Disney have closed this loophole and that I will only be able to book Fastpass+ for the days we would stay in Disney. Do you know if this is correct? If so, it may change how we book the accommodation for our next visit. We're travelling from the UK with a 14 day Ultimate ticket if that makes any difference.
Jul 14, 2019 at 10:36 a.m. Rob Says.Hi, we are really excited about our first visit in August!
I have made some great reservations using FP - the app as crashed a few times and I lost it all temporarily- but all back to normal now. I really don’t want to lose (or risk losing) it all again, so can I ask if staying off property and linking magic bands now will I risk losing any FP bookings or will it automatically transfer? Really worried about losing my avatar FP!!!! Love the site BTW. Thanks in advance.
Jul 15, 2019 at 2:19 p.m. FrogBlog Says.Hi Rob!Think of My Disney Experience as the main hub that connects everything, so linking your MagicBand should not impact your FastPass reservations in any way. These should remain in your My Disney Experience account. If it's still acting glitchy for you, we'd suggest taking a screenshot of your reservations (as insurance of sorts) and calling (407) 939-4357 if you find that anything is off once you've linked your MagicBands to your account.Keep hopping!Leap. Jul 10, 2019 at 8:33 a.m.
FrogBlog Says.Hi Lisa! The 7 Day Ultimate Pass allows you seven days in the main theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios), and then seven individual visits (rather than days) to the water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, Disney’s Miniature Golf and ESPN Wide World of Sports. While you could spread this out over 14 days with the water parks and extras visits, the ticket will only allow for seven days of main park visits, which is where the error message is coming in. So sorry to be the bearer of bad news - hope this helps!Keep hopping!Leap.
